In the 1920s and 1930s, when Paris was indisputably the capital of fashion, designers labored away to satisfy a never ending need for charming and attractive images to sell and promote a variety of products. Hundreds of very skilled artists who had all captured the spirit of the time, and were good draughtsmen and good typographers, worked in the studios of the major printers (like DAM or Draeger) or even directly for perfumers or fashion designers. While they were never allowed to sign their work, as can be seen here, it was always of high quality. These maquettes manage to capture the elegant sensibility and the style of the era.
